An Unbroken Lineage of Sacred Mastery
Hailing from the ancient, cultural sanctuary of Òṣogbo in Ọ̀ṣun State, Nigeria, Adekunle Awosoji (widely known as Akangbe Ogun) is a consecrated Babaláwo from a revered traditional Ògún family. His bloodline carries an unbroken ancestral heritage in sacred hunting, woodcarving (*Gbẹnà-gbẹnà*), textile arts, and the intricate, sacred chemistry of traditional Àdìrẹ.

Adekunle’s qualifications are forged in lifelong, immersive practice as an initiated Babaláwo and elder keeper of the Orisha traditions. Having absorbed the deep, living lineages of Òsányìn, Ṣàngó, Yemọja, Ọ̀ṣun, and Èṣù, he understands Ifá not as dogma, but as deeply personal medicine. Working with Ifá divination, ritual formulation, and traditional ancestral herbs (ewé àti egbò he has served as an indigenous healer through cases that modern clinical systems have deemed terminal or medically inexplicable.
His life’s work centers on diasporic reconnection—guiding individuals from diverse, global cultures back to their spiritual equilibrium. He has mentored hundreds of seekers, artists, and practitioners across the world, witnessing firsthand the profound, generative transformation that unfolds when an individual is re-anchored to the living roots of Yorùbá philosophy.
At Arelagbayi, Adekunle serves as Chairman, overseeing the spiritual integrity of the Arelagbayi Institute of Yoruba Healing Arts and directing the Traditional Arts School—ensuring that sacred woodcarving, cosmological storytelling, and healing arts remain vibrant for generations to come.
